The top 15 schools will give you a salary in the $120K range. Other ranked shcools will give you a salary at or near $100K. A school tha tis not ranked will do little more for you than an undergraduate degree in business, and is probably not worth the cost unless someone else is paying. The top MBA programs want you to have three to five years of work experience -- so you may have some time before you need to make a decision. When you do, I would not advise using geography as the determining factor. The only ranked B-School in Louisiana is Tulane. I wouldn't even consider any other school in the state.
